Our Team Reviews Your Application
Our Applications Team reviews each application to help ensure a good match between animals and families. Incomplete applications may delay the review process.
Meet Your Match
Once approved, you can arrange a meet-and-greet with your potential new companion in Spring Hill, TN (or surrounding areas within an hour), or at one of our adoption events.
Welcome Home!
With an approved application, your new pet may go home the same day as your meet-and-greet, as long as they're medically cleared based on age and vaccination status. Any animal cleared to attend an adoption event can also be adopted at the event with an approved application.
Before You Submit Your Application
- Vet records are required for all current pets in your home.
- If you rent, include a copy of your lease and your landlord or property manager's approval.
- Out-of-state adoptions are welcome, but the adopter arranges transport.
- Our adoption fee is $300 for all animals, regardless of age. (The fee increases to $400 on January 1, 2027.)
- We'll contact you primarily by email from admin@rubiesandrogues.com, so watch your inbox (and spam folder). If you don't hear from us within 48 hours, please email admin@rubiesandrogues.com.
What's Included in Every Adoption
Your adoption fee includes age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipping, preventive care, and spay/neuter surgery by 6 months of age through our approved veterinary partners.
Adopting a Puppy Under 4 Months?
Your puppy will go home with a spay/neuter contract. Please contact us to schedule surgery before your puppy turns 6 months old. You're also welcome to use your own veterinarian, at your own expense.
The adoption fee does not cover services at non-approved clinics, and we cannot reimburse those expenses.

Ready to foster? Fosters use the same placement application as adopters. Once approved, our team will match you with an animal in need.

Falling in Love With Your Foster?
It happens! Fostering and adoption are separate processes, and there is absolutely no obligation to adopt. But if you decide your foster pet is already home, our fosters receive first consideration.
