Sponsor a Wish List

Sponsor a Family This Christmas

Shop their wish lists. Make their Christmas morning.

Family sponsor sign-ups open shortly after Wishlist registration ยท Gifts due December 7

Every year, local families walking through a hard season sign up for our Christmas Wishlist Program. When you sponsor a family, you get the wish lists for every child in the home and shop for them yourself. It's one of the most personal ways to show a neighbor they're not alone this Christmas.

The Families You'll Be Helping

Every family on our list is local, and every one of them is walking through a season they didn't plan for. These are our neighbors, and your gift tells them they aren't facing it alone.

๐Ÿ’ช

Single Moms

Working hard and carrying the bills, the schedule, and the parenting alone. Christmas is one more thing on a very full plate.

๐ŸŒง๏ธ

Unexpected Hardships

A job loss, a medical crisis, or a loss in the family. One hard season can wipe out what a family had set aside for Christmas.

๐Ÿ

Displaced Families

Families starting over after a house fire, a flood, or losing their home, sometimes with little more than what they could carry.

๐Ÿ‘ต

Grandparents & Relatives Raising Kids

Grandparents, aunts, and uncles who stepped in to raise children they didn't expect to, often on a tight or fixed income.

Every family completes a full registration with documents, so you can give with confidence.

Two Ways to Give a Christmas

Most Popular

Sponsor a Whole Family

You shop for every child in one family.

  • Pick a family on our SignUpGenius
  • Choose by the children's ages and genders, then get each child's full wish list by email
  • Shop their wishes, a few clothing items, and a roll of wrapping paper per child
  • Leave the gifts unwrapped so parents can wrap them
  • Drop the gifts off by December 7, and we get them to the family

Great for families, small groups, Bible studies, offices, and friends going in together.

No Time to Shop

Sponsor a Child's Wish

Give $150, and a member of our team does the shopping for you.

  • Gifts from one child's wish list
  • A few clothing items
  • Wrapping paper included
  • Hand-shopped by a Rubies & Rogues director

Perfect if your December is already full but your heart still wants to help.

What $150 Buys One Child

๐ŸŽ

Gifts They Asked For

Things from their own wish list, picked out just for them.

๐Ÿ‘•

New Clothes

A few clothing items, like a new outfit, pajamas, or a warm layer for winter.

๐ŸŽ€

Wrapping Paper

So parents get the joy of wrapping the gifts and putting them under the tree.

๐ŸŽ„

A Christmas Morning

The feeling of waking up to gifts chosen just for them, from a community that cares.

$150 per child is a guide, not a rule. Family sponsors shop the wish lists themselves. No Time to Shop gifts are shopped by our team.

How Sponsoring a Family Works

1

Pick a Family

Choose a family on our SignUpGenius. Each listing shows the ages and genders of the children in the home.

2

Get Their Wish Lists

Once you sign up, we'll email you each child's full wish list. No names are shared, so family details stay private.

3

Shop

Shop for each child's wishes, plus a few clothing items. Leave the gifts unwrapped and include one roll of wrapping paper per child, so parents can wrap them themselves.

4

Drop Off

Drop off your gifts by Monday, December 7. We'll send drop-off details with your family's wish lists, and we'll make sure the gifts reach your family at pickup.

Shopping tips: Please label each bag with your family number and the child's age and gender (for example, "Girl, 7"). Please leave gifts unwrapped so parents get the joy of wrapping them, and include one roll of wrapping paper per child.

Key dates: Family sponsor sign-ups open shortly after Wishlist registration opens in November, once we've verified each family's documents. Gifts are due at drop-off by Monday, December 7.

Better Together

Make It a Christmas Tradition

Some of our favorite sponsors don't do it alone. Sponsoring a family together turns giving into something you'll look forward to every year.

How groups make it work: one person signs up on SignUpGenius, everyone chips in or takes a child to shop for, and one person drops the gifts off by December 7.

  • ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘ฆ Your Family. Let your kids help pick out gifts (and a fun roll of wrapping paper) for children their age. It's a Christmas they'll remember too.
  • ๐Ÿ“– Small Group or Bible Study. Pool your gifts and sponsor a whole family together.
  • ๐Ÿ’ผ Your Office or Team. A meaningful alternative to the gift swap. Each person shops for one child.
  • ๐Ÿก Neighbors & Friends. Turn it into a shopping night, then end the evening with cocoa.

Sponsor a Child's Wish, and We'll Do the Shopping

$150

per child

December gets busy. If you'd love to give but can't get to the store, send $150 and a member of our team will shop for a child on our list. Your gift includes:

  • Gifts from the child's own wish list. Real things they asked for.
  • A few clothing items, because a new outfit is a gift too.
  • Wrapping paper, so parents can wrap the gifts and put them under the tree.
  • Hand-shopped by a Rubies & Rogues director and delivered at Wishlist pickup in early December.

Questions

How big are the families?

It varies. Each family listing on SignUpGenius shows the ages and genders of the children in the home, so you can pick a family that fits your budget.

Can a group sponsor a family together?

Absolutely. Small groups, coworkers, neighbors, and friends often team up. One person signs up, and the group shops together.

How much should I spend?

Plan on about $150 per child, then spend with your heart. Some kids will ask for big-ticket items, and we never expect sponsors to buy everything on a wish list. Choose the gifts that fit your budget. Every one of them matters.

Should I wrap the gifts?

Please don't! Drop gifts off unwrapped, with one roll of wrapping paper per child. Parents love getting to wrap their children's gifts themselves.

Will I know who I sponsored?

No. To protect our families' privacy, we never share names. You'll choose a family by the children's ages and genders, and after you sign up we'll email you each child's full wish list. Rubies & Rogues handles delivery, so the family receives your gifts from their community.

What if I can't cover a whole child?

Every bit helps! Use the Give Any Amount button and we'll put your gift toward a child's Christmas wish that still needs help.
